Week of September 30th, 2024

 

Good Afternoon Wonderful K Families,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I cannot believe the start of October is here already, time sure flies by when you’re having fun!

This week (and month) we are VERY busy, so please read below for some important information:

1) Tomorrow we will be honoring St. Therese by attending a special 9:30 am mass, followed by our annual Walk-a-Thon. Students should wear their GYM uniform tomorrow. 

2) Tomorrow snack shop will be open at lunch time, please send $ (no more than $1-$2 please) LABELED and in their homework folder if you would like them to purchase a snack. 

3) This Wednesday (10/02) is our very first FIELD TRIP! I am SO excited to be going to the farm with this incredible class. Please read through the very important reminder letter that is coming home today in homework folders and keep that for reference. 

4) Due to the field trip on Wednesday, there will be NO ABC Bootcamp that day so students should NOT bring a show & tell please. We will resume bootcamp with letter R on Thursday 10/03.

Good Afternoon Amazing K Families!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We are off to a terrific start to our week. We have a lot coming up between next few weeks, please read the important info below to stay up to date:

Important Info

1) Tomorrow we will be having lunch in the gym and the snack shop will be open. If you would like your child to purchase a snack, please send in $ LABELED in their HOMEWORK folder. Snacks are 50 cents- $1 each. 

2) This Friday is our first TAG day (TAG days are themed NO uniform days). Students may dress down and wear any clothes that have the color GOLD or YELLOW on them if they send in $1 (labeled TAG DAY) in their homework folder. If you already sent in $ to pay for the year in advance (it is $10 in total) then you do not need to send in any money this week and your child can just come Friday dressed down. 

3) Please make sure all water bottles, jackets, sweaters, and sweatshirts are labeled with your child’s name!

• Letters & their Sounds of the Week (bootcamp): K-O

• Name Practice

• Drawing & Labeling 

2) Mathematics:

• Counting & Cardinality: Identifying & Writing Numbers correctly 

3) Religion:

• Learning our Prayers & Talking to God

• Story of Creation- God Gave Us the World

• Preparing for the Month of the Rosary

4) Social Studies:

-School Rules & Procedures 

-Being a Bucket Filler 

-Citizenship Unit- We Are a Family & We Try Our Best!

5) Science:

• Apple Science Unit- First Science Fun Day this week with Johnny Appleseed Day! 🙂

-Friday 9/27-  Wear Gold TAG Day ($1 unless paid in advance for year)
