Week of June 14th- LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL & Graduation!!!

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It is so hard to believe this is my last weekly "Monday Update" I will be sending for this class, the year has flown by and I am so sad I have to say goodbye to these amazing children already! We have been working so hard to prepare for an outstanding Graduation coming up on Thursday, wait until you see it, it is going to be so wonderful!

Please read the attached "Kindergarten Graduation Important Information" document that is found in this message and please send a message to confirm that you read it. This will detail all very important aspects of our day on Thursday.

Tomorrow we will be celebrating our water day AND x marks the spot, please see the reminder sent home Friday with what students need to bring tomorrow. They should be wearing their bathing suits underneath their clothing, they do not need to wear OR bring any uniforms tomorrow, regular clothes to change and wear over are fine.

Also, little by little each day we will be sending home materials from school that can be kept at home. Today we sent our Religion Books & Reading Folders home, these do NOT need to be returned and we ask if you can please keep them home. Tomorrow we will send home art boxes and binders, and Wednesday we will send home all other remaining materials.

On Graduation Day, there will be several crafts and materials we are using to display all of our students' amazing talents. At the end of our reception, please kindly take your child's work with you before you go. I will remind everyone as well before we enjoy our refreshments. :)

Thank you very much for all your time, support, and patience this year. I know I say it often but I truly mean it with all my heart that I feel so incredibly blessed that God gave me the gift of your children this year. As sad as I am it is ending, I am so forever grateful for all the wonderful memories. God Bless!

Enjoy the next few days & I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday!

Love & Prayers Always,

Mrs. Tironi

Week of June 7th

Good Afternoon Wonderful K Families,

I hope everyone is doing well. I cannot believe that we have officially

entered our last full week of Kindergarten already. I am so sad but so proud

of our amazing children.

Our class has been hard at work practicing for our Graduation and they are

so excited to put on an amazing performance for you and your families next

Thursday, June 17th. Our official invitations are going home today in

homework folders, if you could please let me know how many guests you plan

on bringing that day and RSVP no later than this Friday, I would appreciate

it. I have a faculty meeting this afternoon & hope to confirm if there is

still a limit on seating. Once I know the official details I will send a letter

home AND a message to you all.

Here is information for our week ahead:

1) Tomorrow, Tuesday June 8th, is our last school wide TAG Day to raise

money for our 8th grade buddies. The theme is Summer/Beach/Luau attire.

KONA Ice will also be arriving at lunch & recess time, our class will be going

out for it around 12:00 pm. :)

2) On Wednesday, students may bring one teddy bear stuffed animal for

our Teddy Bear Picnic, along with a towel to sit on as we eat lunch outside.

If the weather does not cooperate, we will “picnic” lunch in the library on

our towels instead.

3) On Thursday, students may wear a red, white, and blue shirt  with their

gym uniform bottom as we will honor the USA for letter U day.

4) Regarding Homework/Reading Folders: There will be no additional

spelling or sight word units for this year, as we are now reviewing all of our

concepts learned in K and taking year end assessments. This week you will

find the weekly homework packet in your child’s homework folder, NOT the

reading folder. It is a daily practice sheet for Monday thru Thursday that

combines a variety of concepts we have done this year. This is due back to

school by Friday, it is our last Kindergarten homework.

Here is some important information for the week ahead:

Lunch and snack is same as a regular day, so please still bring in lunch boxes and backpacks. Please apply sunscreen at home before dropping off at school. *A note about tie dye shirts- if your child did not bring their shirt home yet, it means Mrs. DiGuilio has them and they are going to be washed and ready for wearing tomorrow. Please have your child wear their regular gym shirt and they will change when we are in our building before field day begins.*
