Week of November 25th



Good Afternoon!
1) This week are all half days. Tomorrow we will be having dismissal at 12:00, there is after care available. Wednesday we will be dismissing at 11:30 am and there is NO after care available. School is closed Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving.

2) We will be having our Bootcamp Fashion Show tomorrow. Students may bring in something small that they can carry that begins with the letter of their vest to use during our fashion show.  We will be sharing video and photo of our show on Dojo that morning for you all to enjoy. :)

3) There will be no new popcorn words or reading homework this week, so you may keep reading folders at home until Monday December 2nd.

4) A reminder that all Santa Shop order forms must be returned by Wednesday. Please send one back even if your child will not be shopping that day. No money is due at this time. 

5) Christmas Breakfast permission slips are due back to school by Wednesday. 

6) Scholastic Book orders are being submitted tonight for November orders. Our December catalog will be sent home next Monday and orders will be due by Friday Dec. 6th. This will be our last order before Christmas.

Week of November 12th


Good Afternoon!


I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Here is some
important information for the week ahead.


1) Tomorrow we will be celebrating “World Kindness Day”
by honoring Mr. Rogers and are asking students to wear a
cardigan or sweater over their gym t-shirt tomorrow. 


2) We are collecting food for the Roxbury Food Pantry
and our class has been asked to send in donations of
powdered or canned milk. Please send donations by
Wednesday Nov. 20th.


3) Picture Day is this Friday, we will be taking our class
pictures. If you would like your child to take a retake,
please send in an order form on Friday. Students must
wear their uniforms. 


4) Scholastic book order flyers went home. If you are
interested in ordering any books, please place the order
online by next Tuesday Nov. 19th. Our class earns points
for every dollar spent and this helps us build our
classroom library as well. :)


5) Reading Folders went home today with our new popcorn
words, weekly checklist, and a sight word book assignment.
Please have students read the book, color the sight word
and draw a picture to match the sentence. The checklist
and book are due back on Friday, please sign the checklist.


6) As we are preparing to wrap up our ABC Bootcamp we
will begin planning for our Fashion Show celebration. A
detailed letter will go home explaining the project your
child will be asked to make at home. Please look for this
letter to come by the end of this week.


7) SAVE THE DATE: Our class will be putting on a
Thanksgiving Show on Friday Nov. 22nd at 1:00 pm in our
classroom, all families are invited and encouraged to
attend. A formal invitation will be coming home tomorrow.

Week of November 4th




Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!


I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I can’t believe
it is already November, the year is flying by. We have a
lot of fun and exciting things coming up this month.


I first wanted to bring to your attention that starting
today we will be sending home our READING folders as
we begin our weekly “homework”. There is a blue sheet
full, detailed letter in your child’s reading folder that will
explain everything completely. Please send back the
Reading Folder on Friday morning with weekly activities
that your child chose. Students seemed very excited to
start this when I showed them today. :) 


Here is some important information & reminders about
the week ahead:


1) Winter Uniforms have begun. Please make sure your
child is wearing their winter uniform daily, as well as layers
to school (jacket, etc.) because we will be going out for
recess each day as long as it is above 32 degrees and not
wet. 

2) We will be having Library this Thursday, please return
any library books you may have at home.

3) There is no school on Monday November 11th in
observance of Veteran’s Day. 

4) SAVE THE DATE: On Friday November 22nd at 1:00 pm,
Kindergarten will be putting on a “First Thanksgiving” show
followed by a Friends-giving celebration in our classroom.
