Week of April 29th


Good Afternoon & Welcome Back!


I hope everyone had a fantastic spring break and beautiful Easter. I am
so happy to be back with all your wonderful children. It is so crazy to think that it is practically May and we have so many fun events ahead!

We are going to be working on a special project this week and all students are asked to bring in TWO pictures of themselves by this Thursday. We need ONE baby photo and ONE current photo, wallet size preferably (if not we will trim to fit). Please send in  pictures that you do not mind us gluing and cutting to be used for this project. Thanks so much in advance! :)


Here is some more info for this week:
1) Our new spelling words went home this week, we are working on the digraph “th”. There are two spelling homework assignments this week, please make sure they are completed and returned by Thursday.


2) This Thursday is Spring Picture Day, order forms went home today if you are interested in having your child’s picture taken. These are individual pictures only. All students MUST wear their gym uniform to school, however they may change into a different outfit if you would like for the pictures and they will change back into gym uniform after.


3) Pizza Money for the month of May is due by Friday. There are 4 Fridays in May, so the total cost is $12, cash only please.


4) We will be attending First Friday Mass this week at 11:00 am.


5) Summer Camp Registration is due by this Friday.


6) Yearbook orders are due by Monday May 6th.


7) Our Spring Music Concert is next Friday May 10th at 7:00 pm. More info to follow.

Week of April 15th

Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!

Firstly I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for throwing
me an absolutely AMAZING surprise Baby Shower today! Baby Tironi & I
are so incredibly blessed and words cannot express how grateful I truly am
for all your kindness, generosity, and blessings. Thank you all so much and a
special thank you to all the wonderful moms that came today to help make
everything so incredible, Mrs. Landis, Mrs. Dubas, Mrs. Walsh & Mrs.
Backer. <3 :)


IMPORTANT UPDATE:
Tomorrow is our Easter Picnic & Egg Hunt Celebration. Please have your
children bring in their Easter Baskets tomorrow labeled with their names
on it. Our Picnic will begin in the gym in the big school at 11:40 am, all
siblings (including other STS students) are welcome to come and eat with
us for our picnic if they would like to. After our picnic, older siblings will
return to their classes and we will have our egg hunt outside our building
around 12:30 pm.



Also, please note that due to our schedule and shorten week  we will not
be having a spelling test this week or adding new popcorn words. We will
be spending the week reviewing and doing many Easter themed math/
literacy activities.


Thursday is our day of school before spring break, it is a half day with a
noon dismissal. There is NO after care on Thursday, students must be bus
or car rider.


School is closed starting this Friday April 19th and reopens on Monday
April 29th.

Week of April 8th





Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!


I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, it is so nice that it is finally
feeling like Spring!


Here is some information for the week ahead:


1) Our new spelling words are coming home today taped to the front of our
homework folders. We are working on the “ch” digraph this week and
students have two spelling homework assignments that are due back by
Thursday. The first is called “Red, Write, and Blue” and they are to write
their 5 spelling words using a red marker/crayon for the vowels and a blue
marker.crayon for the consonants. The second assignment “Parent Pop Quiz”
it is your child’s turn to be the teacher! They are going to give YOU a
spelling test and see how you do on each of their 5 words. After they give
you the test, they will grade it to see how you did. Please sign and return it
to us so we can give them credit for doing their homework. :)


2) Tomorrow is TAG Day, the theme is “The 1990’s”. Please make sure to
send in the $1 donation if your child will be dressing down tomorrow.


3) Our Easter Picnic & Egg Hunt will be next Tuesday. Please send in all
Egg Filler Prizes by this Friday at the very latest. We appreciate your
support and generosity.


4) We are in need of a few more chaperones for our field trip for
Kindergarten. If you are available on Wednesday May 29th to join us
for our trip to Waterloo village, we would greatly appreciate it. The fee is
$25. If you are interested and available, please send me a message and let
me know ASAP and please send the $25 fee in by this Wednesday April
10th.


5) If you are interested in joining us this summer for our summer camp
program, please send in registration forms along with the fee as soon as
possible, but no later than May 1st.


6) Next Thursday April 18th is a half day dismissal and there is NO after
care services. Spring Break is from Friday April 19th- 26th. School reopens
on Monday April 29th.


7) Please see the Friday Folder online if you are interested in ordering a
yearbook and for other important information.

Week of April 1st




Good Afternoon & Happy April!


I hope everyone had a great weekend, I am greatly looking forward to all
April has in store for us!


Here is some information for the week ahead:


1) Our new spelling words went home today taped to the homework folders,
we are moving along to digraph patterns and will be focusing on the “sh”
words. There are two spelling assignments this week, write your words 5x
each and write one sentence for each word. The homework is due back on
Thursday and our test will be Friday.


2) We added new popcorn words (some, all, want) today to our popcorn
booklets, some children did not have their books today so please send them
in tomorrow.


3) If you are interested in ordering pizza for April please send in the
pizza money by Friday, it is $6 for this month since we are only in school
for 2 Friday’s. There will also be snack shop reopening this week on Friday.

4) Please RSVP to our Easter Picnic ASAP, all Easter Egg filler toys are
due by April 12th.


Here is some information for the month ahead:


1) If you are interested in ordering a yearbook, they will be running a
special challenge and the class with the highest % of sales will win a NUT
card day. All information regarding yearbook ordering can be found on the
Friday Folder. Every child is featured and it is full of great memories from
an amazing year together.


2) Summer camp registration forms are due back by May 1st, we are
looking forward to another wonderful summer here at STS.


3) 2nd Grade is still collecting items for their buddy packs until Thursday
April 18th.
