Week of 11/17

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We have an amazing week ahead. Please review the following information below:

1) Reading folders are coming home today with new weekly materials. Completed work and folders are due back on Friday.

2) There is snack shop tomorrow during lunch. Please send $ labeled in your child’s homework folder if you’d like them to purchase a snack.

3) Santa Shop order forms are coming home today in Homework Folders. These forms MUST be returned back from everyone by November 26th. We will all be attending Santa Shop together on Tuesday 12/2.

4) Our Thanksgiving Show & Celebration is coming up this Wednesday! Students are still to wear their gym uniform. If you signed up to donate an item for our event, please try to drop them off no later than Wednesday morning so we can set up prior to the event.

Also- regarding our show- please read these directions very carefully:

- Families are asked to park in the learning center parking

lot and/or church lot ONLY. You CANNOT block the spaces in

front of the learning center or big school as these will be used for big school car line and buses.

-Please do not arrive any earlier than 12:50 pm. Our show will take place in the GYM on the stage first, so please walk to the front doors of the main building to sign in, doors will not open any earlier than 12:50 pm due to gym classes in session.

Our show will begin promptly at 1:00 pm on the stage. The performance

will go from 1:00-1:15 in the gym, then we will escort our class back to

our building.

-Families are then asked to walk with us to our building to where we will

continue our Friendsgiving celebration in our classroom & computer room area.

-Festivities during our celebration have been planned for students

AND families to enjoy together and will go until around 2:20 the

latest, at which time families will be permitted to take their students

& dismiss directly from our building.

-If you have an older STS student that you would like to take with you at dismissal, you MUST send a note & email to your child’s teacher &

office to make them aware so the bus list can be completed correctly

that morning. At 2:25 pm when the bell rings, any older STS students may meet you at the end of the hallway in the big school near the 3rd grade classroom.

-Looking forward to an AMAZING Thanksgiving Show & Celebration. 🙂

5) This Friday is our next TAG day. There is no specific theme. Students may dress down if they send in a $1 donation that morning (unless paid in advance for the year).

6) Next week will be half days with noon dismissal for all grades K-8. There is aftercare available on Monday & Tuesday until 5 pm. Wednesday 11/26 is a half day noon dismissal for the whole school with NO aftercare available.

Please note that parent teacher conferences next week are for students in the big school. Pre-K & Kindergarten will have our conferences coming up in January, as that is when our students will be receiving their first report cards. More information will come out when we return from winter break with specific times & dates.

Week of 11/03

Hello everyone! Happy November!

I am so excited to celebrate this beautiful month with your amazing children and make it a true November to Remember!

Please see the important information below for the days ahead:

1) Tomorrow is snack shop. Please send any $ labeled in their homework folders if you’d like them to purchase a treat during lunch.

2) Reading folders came home today with new monthly and weekly work. We collected the completed October work and students who worked on their READO board & log will receive a special prize by the end of this week. You can still send it any day this week if you haven’t already.

3) Please make sure to RSVP for our Thanksgiving Celebration ASAP if you haven’t already. https://forms.gle/fbiJLTLcWoJWVDkv9

4) A reminder that disguise a turkey projects are due this week by Wednesday.

5) We may have just entered November but we are planning for our BIG TOP SECRET MAGICAL SURPRISE day coming up in December! If you are interested in helping with one of our most amazing days of the year, please sign up using the link below. We truly appreciate all your help and support. More info to come as we get closer as well. 🙂

6) We have been blessed with two amazing parent volunteers who have come on their days off to assist us with lunch & recess help and we thought it would be a bit easier on our end for planning purposes to know a bit in advance which days we have help and which days we do not. Therefore Mrs. Nowel & I put together this Sign Up Genius for the days that we are looking for lunch & recess help.  You will see the times vary a bit depending on the day of the week & what our schedule is like.

If you have completed the VIRTUS requirement and happen to be available any of these days to come & help us with lunch & recess, please fill out the sign up using the link below. This does not have to be done far in advance and can be done even the same day if needed. It just makes it easier for me to know which days we have the extra help and which days we might not. Rest assured, I do always step up and fill in on any days where we do not have lunch parents, so the class will always have at least 2 adults at all times. 🙂
