Week of February 19th

Good Afternoon,

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend. We had a wonderful day today in Kindergarten.

A few reminders for this week:

1) We added our new three popcorn words to our popcorn booklets today. If your child did not bring in their booklet, please make sure they bring it in tomorrow.

2) A very important letter regarding tardies went home in homework folders today.

3) There is no library this week, we will have library next Thursday February 28^th.

4) Friday is Pizza Lunch and 8^th grade will be running snack shop.

1) Reading/Language Arts/ Phonics:

-Letters- Short Vowels in CVC words

-Sight Words- run, was

-Color Word- brown

-Reading Comprehension- fiction vs. non-fiction, characters

2) Mathematics:

- Measurement- Compare, Contrast, and Explore Various Units

3) Religion-

-Jesus’ Miracles

- Jesus’ Life

-Daily Prayers

4) Social Studies:

- America Unit- Presidents & U.S. Symbols

5) Science:

-Arctic Animals- Habitats
