Week of April 8th

Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, it is so nice that it is finally
feeling like Spring!

Here is some information for the week ahead:

1) Our new spelling words are coming home today taped to the front of our
homework folders. We are working on the “ch” digraph this week and
students have two spelling homework assignments that are due back by
Thursday. The first is called “Red, Write, and Blue” and they are to write
their 5 spelling words using a red marker/crayon for the vowels and a blue
marker.crayon for the consonants. The second assignment “Parent Pop Quiz”
it is your child’s turn to be the teacher! They are going to give YOU a
spelling test and see how you do on each of their 5 words. After they give
you the test, they will grade it to see how you did. Please sign and return it
to us so we can give them credit for doing their homework. :)

2) Tomorrow is TAG Day, the theme is “The 1990’s”. Please make sure to
send in the $1 donation if your child will be dressing down tomorrow.

3) Our Easter Picnic & Egg Hunt will be next Tuesday. Please send in all
Egg Filler Prizes by this Friday at the very latest. We appreciate your
support and generosity.

4) We are in need of a few more chaperones for our field trip for
Kindergarten. If you are available on Wednesday May 29th to join us
for our trip to Waterloo village, we would greatly appreciate it. The fee is
$25. If you are interested and available, please send me a message and let
me know ASAP and please send the $25 fee in by this Wednesday April
10th.

5) If you are interested in joining us this summer for our summer camp
program, please send in registration forms along with the fee as soon as
possible, but no later than May 1st.

6) Next Thursday April 18th is a half day dismissal and there is NO after
