Week of November 9th

Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone enjoyed this beautiful weekend, it certainly feels more like spring than fall lately and I am definitely not complaining. :)

We are off to another great start to a new week full of fun and learning. Here is some information for the week/weeks ahead…

1) Our class has voted for our special reward day for filling up the Kindness Chart. The winning choice is...Bring a Fluffy Friend to School Day! Tomorrow, Tuesday, our class may bring in any fluffy friend of their choice to spend the day with them here, just please ensure it is one that can be easily carried. They are still wearing uniforms tomorrow, but can bring a stuffed animal.

2) This Thursday is our next school-wide TAG day fundraiser for our 8th grade buddies. The theme is “Twin Day” and our class will be deciding what color to wear tomorrow and I will let you know in a message. We will all wear this color to “twin” together. If your child dresses down, please send in the $1 donation that will go to our 8th grade class.

3) A reminder that there is no school this Friday, November 13th in observance of Veteran’s Day.

4) Reading Folders went home with new material today. They are not due back until Monday.

5) Please SAVE THE DATE! Next Friday, November 20th at 1:15 pm, our class will be putting on our annual Kindergarten Play “The First Thanksgiving”. I will be working on how we will perform this for you all virtually via ZOOM or Google Meet, more details to come as we get closer. Please practice the “Our Father” prayer with your children at home, as this is a prayer we will be reciting together during our play. We do pray it every day in school as well.

6) We will be having half days on the week of November 23rd. On Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th we will be dismissing at 11:30 am, however there is aftercare available. On Wednesday, November 25th we will dismiss at 11:30 am and there is no after care available. We will be closed on Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th for Thanksgiving Break.
