Good Afternoon Wonderful K Families,
I hope everyone is doing well. I cannot believe that we have officially
entered our last full week of Kindergarten already. I am so sad but so proud
of our amazing children.
Our class has been hard at work practicing for our Graduation and they are
so excited to put on an amazing performance for you and your families next
Thursday, June 17th. Our official invitations are going home today in
homework folders, if you could please let me know how many guests you plan
on bringing that day and RSVP no later than this Friday, I would appreciate
it. I have a faculty meeting this afternoon & hope to confirm if there is
still a limit on seating. Once I know the official details I will send a letter
home AND a message to you all.
Here is information for our week ahead:
1) Tomorrow, Tuesday June 8th, is our last school wide TAG Day to raise
money for our 8th grade buddies. The theme is Summer/Beach/Luau attire.
KONA Ice will also be arriving at lunch & recess time, our class will be going
out for it around 12:00 pm. :)
2) On Wednesday, students may bring one teddy bear stuffed animal for
our Teddy Bear Picnic, along with a towel to sit on as we eat lunch outside.
If the weather does not cooperate, we will “picnic” lunch in the library on
our towels instead.
3) On Thursday, students may wear a red, white, and blue shirt with their
gym uniform bottom as we will honor the USA for letter U day.
4) Regarding Homework/Reading Folders: There will be no additional
spelling or sight word units for this year, as we are now reviewing all of our
concepts learned in K and taking year end assessments. This week you will
find the weekly homework packet in your child’s homework folder, NOT the
reading folder. It is a daily practice sheet for Monday thru Thursday that
combines a variety of concepts we have done this year. This is due back to
school by Friday, it is our last Kindergarten homework.
Here are this week’s themes/concepts:
1) LA/Reading/Phonics:
