Week of October 28th



Good Afternoon!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! I cannot believe the end of October is almost here already! We have another fun-filled and busy week ahead, please review the info below:


1) Reading folders are coming home today with our review sheets. Due to Halloween, homework is not due back until MONDAY, November 4th. On Monday 11/4, please send BOTH completed weekly and monthly work in your child’s reading folder.  


2) On Halloween on Thursday, students are asked to please arrive to school wearing their costumes. (NO WEAPONS OR MASKS ARE PERMITTED) We will have a class party with our room parents only but then we will be marching in the big school parade K-8th grade. Families are invited and encouraged to attend and you may sign out your child after the parade has concluded. Please note that there is NO aftercare on Halloween. 


If you plan on signing out your child after the parade, you must send us a note/dojo/email no later than Thursday morning so we can plan accordingly. You will meet us by our Kindergarten playground to sign out your children. 


3) Snack shop will be open tomorrow during lunch. Please send in $ labeled and in folders if you wish for your child to purchase a snack. 


4) We are looking for a parent volunteer who may be able to assist Mrs. Nowel with extra lunch help in the gym & recess duty on Tuesdays. The time would be from 11:35-12:35, but even if you can only come for lunch from 11:35-12:05 that would be greatly appreciated as well. Please note the VIRTUS training program must be completed prior to volunteering. Please let us know if you are able to assist on Tuesdays. 


5) This Friday we will be attending mass at 8:45 for First Friday & All Saints Day. 


6) Winter uniforms will go into effect next week starting on Friday, November 1st. Please LABEL all sweaters/sweatshirts, jackets, etc. 


7) Our Kindergarten Thanksgiving Show & Celebration will be coming up on Thursday, November 14th. If you have not already RSVP-ed, please do so by following the link below. RSVP’s are due by this Friday, 11/01 please so we can plan accordingly for number of guests. 


8) Our Disguise a Turkey projects are coming home today with a detailed letter explaining what your child is asked to do. Please take your time having them create a disguise to keep our turkey safe for Thanksgiving. There are LOTS of amazing ideas online if your child needs a little inspiration to get them started. Please return completed turkeys by next Wednesday, November 6th.

Week of October 21st



Good Afternoon!

I hope you all had a nice weekend and are enjoying this beautiful summer-like weather! We have another fun-filled week ahead, please see the information below:

  1. Our amazing class filled up our next October Kindness Challenge so as a reward we are having a “Bring Your Stuffy To School Day” tomorrow. Students may bring ONE stuffed animal toy with them that they would like to spend the day at school with them. Please make sure it is one they can easily carry.

  2.  Tomorrow Snack Shop will be open, please send in $ labeled and in folders if you wish to purchase. 

  3. Our new sight words started today along with one easy practice sheet for our weekly homework. This is not due back until Friday. 

  4. This Friday is our next TAG day- students may dress down in Halloween Themed Attire (NO COSTUMES). Halloween Goody Bag Favors are also due by Friday please. 

  5. IMPORTANT SAVE THE DATE- Thursday, November, 14th @ 1:00 pm- Our class will be putting on a special performance for Thanksgiving, followed by a family & friends mini-feast. A detailed letter will be coming home by the end of this week with more information.

Good Afternoon!

I hope you all had a nice long & wonderful weekend! We have a shorter

but still busy & fun week ahead. Please read the following

information carefully:

1) Scholastic Book Order will be placed online this evening.

If you are interested in ordering, please submit orders no later than

8 pm today. Our class code is P8VPV. 


2) Reading folders are coming back today with our new weekly work.

Please return these folders with completed work on Friday morning. 


3) ABC Bootcamp Vests are due this Thursday! Our big Fashion Show

Celebration is this Friday afternoon! It will be recorded and then sent

over the weekend to you all. The Fashion Show Parade will be at 2:10 pm

outside the learning center, parents are more than welcome to watch,

but students will still be dismissed at our usual 2:25 pm time. 


4) Now that the weather is getting chilly, please ensure your child is

layered up each day and everything is labeled!! We will ALWAYS go

outside each day for at least 30 minutes, as long as it is above 32

degrees and not raining, so it is important that children can bundle

up if needed.

Week of October 7th, 2024




Good Afternoon!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We have a short but busy week

ahead. Please read the following information carefully:


1) Today we have officially started our sight word curriculum (we call them

POPCORN words because they POP out when you see them!) and along with

that starts our weekly/monthly homework! :)


Your child is coming home today with their READING FOLDERS that

includes a detailed letter and our weekly & monthly assignments. Typically

we ask you to please keep these folders at home until Friday, but since it is

a shortened week, students have until next Tuesday to return their reading

folders. 


2) Tomorrow Snack Shop will be open at lunch. Please send labeled $ (no

more than $1-$2 please) in your child’s folder if you want them to purchase

a snack. 


3) Wednesday is a half day with a NOON dismissal and there is NO

aftercare. School is closed this Friday 10/11 and Monday 10/14 for the

holiday weekend. 


4) Scholastic Book Catalogs are coming home today. If you are interested

in ordering, please place orders online. Deadline is Tuesday 10/15. 


5) Now that the weather is changing, students should always layer each

day. Please make sure all their clothes are LABELED! 🙂
