Good afternoon wonderful K families,
I hope you are all doing well. While we may have a short week ahead, we have
a lot of important info and exciting activities ahead. Please read below carefully for all important information for the week:
1) Now that we are officially entering our 2nd month of school we are
starting our “reading folder” homework. Today your child will come home
with TWO folders- their homework AND reading folder (both are labeled).
Inside your child’s homework folder you will see a very detailed letter
explaining exactly how the Reading Folder homework works.
Inside your child’s reading folder you will see it labeled “return weekly”
and “return monthly” with the work materials. Typically all weekly work is
due back to school on Fridays, however due to the shortened week it is not
due back until next Tuesday. Please try to keep the reading folders & the
finished materials at your home until the morning they are due.
This week there is only one math practice sheet as we have our shortened
schedule and also our field trip coming up on Thursday!
2) Tomorrow 8th grade will be running snack shop. If you’d like to send $
for your child to buy a snack please send it labeled in their homework folder
tomorrow morning.
3) This Thursday is our field trip to Tranquility Farms and we are VERY
excited! A reminder there is NO bootcamp that day so please do not send
any show & tell items. Tomorrow afternoon you will receive a detailed
reminder letter with all important information about our trip- including
timing for chaperones, what students should wear, bring, etc.
4) Our October Scholastic book order is going to be placed tomorrow
morning. If you would like to shop, please place your order directly online at

5) A reminder that our ABC Bootcamp Fashion Show Vests are not due back
until next Thursday, 10/16. I will be also sending out a SignUpGenius for our
upcoming October fun days (fashion show, pumpkin science and Halloween
party) by the end of this week.
