Week of 10/27

Hello Amazing Kindergarten Families,

I hope you are all doing well and having a great start to the last week of October. I can’t believe how quickly time is flying by! We have another exciting week ahead.

Please read below for important information:

1) Reading folders are coming home today with our new weekly materials. Due to Halloween on Friday, Reading folders and finished work (both weekly AND monthly) will not be collected until next Monday, 11/03.

2) Coming home today in our homework folders is our next special project- Disguise a Turkey! Please see the detailed letter regarding this project and send in the completed disguised turkeys next Wednesday, 11/05. If your child needs some inspiration, there are a lot of wonderful ideas online but they can let their creativity shine and try to disguise their turkeys.

3) Tomorrow will be snack shop at lunch time, if you’d like to send in any $ for your child to purchase a snack please make sure it is labeled and in their homework folders tomorrow.

4) We will celebrate Halloween on Friday at school. Students are asked to wear their costumes to school but please remember per school policy no weapons are allowed. Please make sure your child wears shoes they are able to walk and play in comfortably.

We will have a class party during the day and then families are welcome to join us for the parade in the afternoon at 1:30 pm in front of the big school. If you attend the parade, you are permitted to take your child home with you after it concludes.

If you will be signing your child out after the parade, please send us a note so we can plan dismissal accordingly. Please note that there is NO aftercare open on Friday.

5) SAVE THE DATE- On Wednesday, November 19th our class will be putting on a special performance about the First Thanksgiving at 1:00 pm. Families are invited and highly encouraged to join us if possible. Please see the link below for more information and to RSVP for the event. Please complete this RSVP no later than Monday, 11/03.
