Week of March 26th




Good Afternoon!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I apologize for not posting my
update yesterday as I had planned. We are having a great week in Kdg so
far and everyone has been working hard.


Here are some reminders for this week:


1) We have Library this Thursday, please send in any library books by
Thursday morning.


2) Field Trip permission slips and chaperone interest forms are due
by this Friday, March 29th.


3) Our Spelling pattern for the week is Short Vowel “U” and we will be
incorporating three word families in our test, which can all be found taped
to the front of homework folders. Our weekly spelling homework is
“Rainbow Roll & Write”. For this activity students are to roll a dice (there
is a free digital dice on Google if you do not have one at home) and then
write their spelling words in the color they landed on. They should continue
to roll & play this game until they fill up the columns with their various
spelling words. This homework is due back to school by Thursday.


4) Spring Uniforms will go into effect next Monday April 1st.


5) Please RSVP to our Easter Picnic & Celebration by this Friday
confirming if you will be attending and the number of guests. Please send
in Egg filler donations by April 12th.

6) Summer camp registration forms are going home today, if you are
interested in joining us this summer please return these forms along with
the registration fee by May 1st. It is going to be another amazing summer
here at STS! :)

Week of March 18th





Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We are going to have a fantastic week!
A reminder that tomorrow is our March TAG Day! The theme is St. Patrick’s Day green, rainbow, etc. Please remember it is a $1 donation for students to dress down, and that $ goes to benefit our 8th grade class.


Here’s some important info for this week ahead:

1) Our new spelling words went home taped to the front of the homework folders, we are now on Short Vowel “O” word families. We are incorporating two word families this week “ot” and “og”. The spelling homework that is in folders is due back on Thursday. Raz Kids Reading logs are due next Monday.

2) We added three new popcorn words to our books today (eat, funny, at). If your child did not bring in their book today, please send it in tomorrow.

3) This Thursday is “Crazy Socks” TAG Day and students are asked to wear fun, crazy socks with their gym uniform and bring in a $1 donation to benefit the Down Syndrome Foundation.

Week of March 11th





Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. It seems the weather is finally starting to get a little warmer, which we are all loving! : )

Here’s some important info for this week ahead:

1) Our new spelling words went home taped to the front of the homework folders, we are now on Short Vowel “I” word families. We are incorporating two word families this week “ig” and “it”. The spelling homework that is in folders is due back on Thursday.

2) We added three new popcorn words to our books today (us, jump, down). If your child did not bring in their book today, please send it in tomorrow.

3) We have Library this Thursday so please be sure to return books.

4) Thursday is also the 8th grade baked potato sale, if you are interested in ordering please send back the order form, which can be found online on the Friday Folder.

5) The St. Patrick’s Day TAG Day that was originally this Friday has now been rescheduled to NEXT Tuesday March 19th. On the 19th we ask everyone to wear Green/St. Patty’s theme attire and send in $1 for the 8th grade class.

Week of March 4th




Good Afternoon & Happy Dr. Seuss Day!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend and made out safely from all the snow. I am so glad we were able to have school today and celebration Dr. Seuss’ birthday, the class & I had a blast! : )

Here is some important information for the week ahead:

1) Our new spelling words went home taped to the front of homework folders. We are now on the “Short E” word family words. Our spelling homework this week is Rainbow Writing where students are asked to write their words 2 times each in various rainbow colors. Our next spelling test will be on Friday.

2) Since we are now in the month of March we will begin having a small amount of weekly homework, beginning with our Raz Kids Reading Log. You will find this paper in your child’s homework folder with instructions on how they can access their reading account. Please make sure they read at least 2 stories (with quizzes), 3 days out of the week. The Reading Log is due back every Monday. Raz Kids is an excellent reading program that is leveled to their ability and will continue to grow as they practice their skills.

3) Ash Wednesday is this week on March 6th. We will be attending the 8:30 am parish mass. We will be proceeding to church around 8:05-8:10 so it is imperative that your child is on time that day.

4) Please be sure to return permission slips/chaperone forms to school by March 29th.

Week of February 25th





Good Afternoon!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We are going to have another terrific week in Kindergarten!

Here is some important info for the week ahead:

1) Today officially begins our first “Spelling” unit! A detailed letter is going home in homework folders today along with their spelling homework that is due back on Thursday. We will have our first spelling test on Friday!

2) Tomorrow is a special TAG Day to raise money for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Students are asked to dress down and wear orange or green and donate $1.00.

3) We will be having Library this Thursday. Please send in any library books by Thursday morning.

5) This Friday we will be attending First Friday Mass at 11:00 am.

6) This Friday begins March (already!) and March pizza money will be due this week. Please send in your child’s pizza money (labeled please) for March before Friday morning.

7) This Sunday is the day we will be singing at the 10:30 am mass with Pre-K and First Grade. A reminder letter with information regarding timing, attire, etc. is going home today in homework folders.

8) A permission slip and field trip chaperone paperwork is also going home today in homework folders. Please sign and return these to school by March 29th.

Week of February 19th




Good Afternoon,

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend. We had a wonderful day today in Kindergarten.

A few reminders for this week:

1) We added our new three popcorn words to our popcorn booklets today. If your child did not bring in their booklet, please make sure they bring it in tomorrow.

2) A very important letter regarding tardies went home in homework folders today.

3) There is no library this week, we will have library next Thursday February 28th.

4) Friday is Pizza Lunch and 8th grade will be running snack shop.

Week of February 4th





Good Afternoon,

I hope you all had a nice weekend. Here is some important information for the week/month ahead.

1) Reading folders went home today with our new February READO & reading logs. Students who sent back their January work received a class prize coupon along with a coupon for one free ice cream at Cliff’s. If you did not send in your work today, you may send it in anytime this week. We will not be starting our weekly reading/spelling homework until the third week of February, after the Wedding of Q & U.

2) Official report cards will be going home this week, there was an issue with the formatting and it should be resolved and sent home shortly. You received a copy of our report cards during our conferences.

3) On Wednesday we will be having an Open House in the morning from 9:00-11:00 am. Students are asked to wear their CSW Shirts with their gym uniform bottoms. We will be watching Toy Story 3 in the afternoon and 8th grade will be running the Snack Shop. Please send in any snack shop money with your child on Wednesday morning.

4) We will be celebrating out 100th Day of School on Friday! Please send in our special mystery projects to school on Friday morning.

5) Our Wedding of Q & U will be next Friday February 15th at 1:15 pm in the gym. We will also be celebrating our class Valentine’s Day party during our “reception” where students may bring in valentine’s for their classmates.

6) There is no school on Monday February 18th for President’s Day.
