Good Afternoon
& Happy Monday,
I hope everyone had
a nice weekend. It is so crazy to believe we are already in our second half of
our Kindergarten year together, time is truly flying!
Conference letters
went home today in your child’s homework folder. Please review the time and
date and fill out the bottom portion of the letter and return to school no
later than this Friday January 11th. If you need to reschedule, we
can work that out together as best as possible.
This week we are
starting a very exciting Science unit on Hibernation, Migration, and Adaptation-
What Animals Do in the Winter. We will be working on a special STEM challenge
on Friday. A letter went home today asking if you happen to have any spare
materials at home that you could possibly donate, we would greatly appreciate
it. Items like paper towel rolls, tissue boxes (empty), cardboard (ex. Empty cereal
boxes, etc.), egg cartons, empty milk cartons, plastic bottles, rocks, twigs,
string, etc. Please do not go out and purchase materials, but if you happen to
have anything laying around or in your recycling that you could send, we would
be so thankful. Please send any materials by Friday. : )
Popcorn word books
went home today with our three new words. If your child did not bring their book
today, please send it in tomorrow so we can make sure they get the new words as
well. Students should be practicing reading, writing, and spelling this words
at home at least a few days a week. We do a lot of activities at school with
them, but every few minutes of extra reinforcement at home can really make a
huge difference!
This Friday is our

donation for our 8th grade buddies.
