Week of Sept. 14th

Hello & Happy Monday!

We are off to a wonderful start to a new week of Kindergarten! This week we will be working on our beginning of the year assessments, as well as continuing to learn about school procedures & routines. Today we practiced our first fire drill and the students did such an outstanding job! :)

One important announcement is picture day has been moved to Wednesday September 30th. Although it is a gym day, Mr. Dunnigan has requested that students still wear their formal uniform to school for pictures.

Here are this week's themes/concepts we will be working on:

Reading/Language Arts/Phonics:

-Handwriting: Learning various motions & lines to form different letters

-Reviewing the letters of the alphabet & their sounds

Mathematics:

-Identifying & Writing Numbers 0-10

Religion:

-The Story of Creation

-God Made The World

-Practicing Daily Prayers (Grace Before Meals, Grace After Meals, Hail Mary)

Social Studies:

-Citizenship Unit

Science:

-Germs & Ways to Stay Healthy!

Thank you so much for your time. I am greatly looking forward to a fun, exciting, and learning filled week ahead with our amazing students.

God Bless!
