Week of December 14th

Good Afternoon & Happy Third Week of Advent- The Week of JOY!

We are truly off to a very joyful start to this week together, a week that is jam packed with so much excitement and magic. As you saw on Friday, our class FILLED the Kindness jar AND the Kindness Chart for being such super Kindness Super Heroes. As our reward, we will be having our Kindergarten ONLY Pajama Day tomorrow. Students are asked to come to school in their favorite pj’s, may bring a fluffy friend (one they can easily carry), and they may also bring slippers to change into in the classroom.

In the afternoon, we are going to be surprising the students with our top secret Polar Express event. Please, please, please do not tell your child about this day, and if they have older siblings who have done this, please try to remind them not to tell them about it as well. It will be a little different this year because of the current restrictions, but thanks to all you amazing families who donated, I know this is still going to one of the best days EVER in our class! :) I cannot wait!

The weather this week does not look very promising on Wednesday afternoon into Thursday. As of now, Mrs. Nowel & I have decided to bump up our class Christmas party to this Friday, December 18th. It is also a schoolwide TAG day “Ugly Sweater/Christmas Attire”, so it will be a great way to end the week. If you have not yet sent in the Christmas Gift Exchange present, if you could please do so by Wednesday morning, we would greatly appreciate it.

Reading folders went home today for the last time for December. We have our “special” sight words this week we are working on, along with a practice sheet.

We are going to be working on making parent gifts, cards, and buddy gifts during the week as well.
