Week of March 28th

 



Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and are staying warm from this Arctic air today! 


Here is some important information about the week ahead:

1) Reading & Math HW went home today in Folders along with our new spelling words for Short Vowel “O”. The words are listed below in our weekly objectives. HW is due Friday, or Monday at the latest please. 


2) Our Easter Celebration is on Monday 4/11 (rain date 4/13). Please send in Easter Egg Fillers by next Monday. Also, if you have not yet RSVP-ed for the picnic/party, please do so as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. 


3) Pizza Friday $ for this week may be sent in any day this week, please ensure it is exact change & labeled in your child’s homework folder. 


4) We will be attending First Friday Mass this week at 8:30 am. 


5) Spring/Summer Uniforms begin this Friday, April 1st. However, feel free to use your judgment if the weather is very cold and you’d like to send your child in the winter uniform instead. It is always understandable, as Spring can have some crazy temperature changes. 


6) Candylicious Fundraiser Forms are due this Friday, if you are interested in ordering. 


7) Field Trip Forms are due no later than Friday, April 8th.

Week of March 21st

 


Good Afternoon & Happy Spring!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I know our class is super excited for Spring & ready to enjoy all the fun we have coming up these next few months together. 

Here is some important information for the week ahead:

  1. Our Weekly Homework Packets went home today with our new sight words AND spelling words. There is a new spelling choice board included for students to use daily when practicing their 5 spelling words (short i words this week). They can select their way to practice the words and then log it/show their work on the back of the page. 

  2. This Wednesday is a half day, with noon dismissal due to Cognia Interviews for staff. There is after care available from 12:00-6:00 pm. Please send a note if there is a change to your child’s dismissal that day. 

  3. Our Easter Picnic & Celebration is coming up on Monday, April 11th (Rain Date of Wednesday the 13th). Please RSVP by this Friday to let us know if you can join us and if any additional family members will be joining as well. We are asking all families to please donate Easter Egg fillers (non-food) that we can use for the hunt and please send them to school no later than Monday, April 4th. Thank you so much for your support.

  4. I am VERY excited to announce our Spring Field Trip flyer went home today. We are joining Pre-K 3 & 4 for a trip to the Sea Life Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center on Wednesday, May 18th. Please review all the information in the letter sent home today and complete the form provided and send it to school no later than Friday, April 8th. We would like to have our final numbers confirmed so tickets can be purchased before Spring Break. 

  5. A friendly reminder, as we are approaching the warmer weather, please ensure your child has a water bottle each day. We do have the ability to fill up their water bottles and we always have back-up bottles in case children need them just in case. 

  6. Pizza money is due on Friday.

Monday, March 14th, 2022

Good Afternoon & Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend and enjoyed what is “hopefully”

our last snowstorm! I know our class is definitely ready for some

spring this week! :)

Here is some important information about the week ahead:


1) We will be having our St. Patrick’s Day Celebration this Thursday,

March 17th. Please be sure to fill out the permission form for your

child to enjoy our yummy surprise treats, link here:

Thursday is also a TAG Day, students may wear

St. Patrick’s/Green attire when they send in the $1 donation. 


2) Reading Folders went home today with our new packet

of materials and this week’s current spelling words. We

are focusing on the short vowel “e” and the words are

wet, pet, red, bed, hen.

I am so proud of all our students for doing such a

wonderful job last week and love to see their

confidence growing with their independent spelling and writing. :)


3) I sent an invitation home today regarding our upcoming

Easter Picnic & Celebration on Monday, April 11th

(rain date of Wednesday, April 13th). We are asking

every family to donate at least one package of Easter Egg fillers

(non-food only please) to be used for our Egg Hunt.

If you are able to join us that afternoon, please send an

RSVP to me no later than Friday, March 25th. We hope

everyone can join us for an amazing celebration together. 


4) Quick note about Pizza Friday-We are no longer doing

monthly ordering and pizza can only be ordered the morning

of by sending in $ in your child’s homework folder.

March 10th

 Hi Everyone!

We had such a wonderful week, I can't wait to celebrate and wrap it up tomorrow with our last amazingly fun Seuss themed day. It is a school-wide TAG Day the theme is animals and we are asking for donations for the 11th hour. Students who donate may dress down in any clothing that has animals of any kind (including Unicorns of course, for my unicorn loving cuties!)


Please see the link below for the flyer with donations they are requesting. You can also see the order forms for the Baked Potato lunch and Clover Grams, both of which are due by tomorrow, if you are interested in ordering those for your child.

Tomorrow is pizza lunch, if you have not already done so and you'd like to order, please send in the $3 in their homework folders. 


We will be taking our first Spelling test tomorrow, I know students are going to be awesome. Their tests will be sent home to be reviewed, signed, and returned Monday please. 


Next week on Thursday, 03/17, we will be celebrating Saint Patrick's Day with a fun surprise party/celebration in the afternoon. We would like to serve some yummy treats as well, but do need your permission for your child to eat them. Please complete the digital form by following the link below before Thursday.
