Week of April 24th

 


Good Afternoon! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We have

another exciting & busy week ahead as we close out this month of April

together. Please read all the very important info below carefully:


1) Tomorrow is going to be a special TAG day for Autism Awareness.

Mr. Dunnigan asks that all students wear light blue tomorrow.

Side note- There is also Lego Club tomorrow and Art Club on Friday. 


2) This Wednesday is our field trip to Liberty Science Center!! Two

VERY important letters are going home with ALL information needed

about this trip. Please review them carefully and reach out at any time

if you have any questions. We are so excited for an amazing fun day

full of learning adventures together! :) 


3) Miss Mount is offering a special yearbook opportunity for all

students to write their own boosters to shout out either their favorite

teachers, 8th grade buddies, or friends, etc. It is $5 per booster and she

will be visiting our classroom this Thursday 4/27 to help our children write

out their messages. If you would like your child to write a booster, please

send in the $ LABELED as YEARBOOK BOOSTERS  no later than Thursday

morning. 


4) Reading homework & new spelling words are coming home today, we are

working on the “TH” digraph this week. You will see a “Create a Wordsearch”

using spelling words, please help your child MAKE the word search but

please do not have them show where the words are hidden. We will actually

be doing this together in class on Friday morning where students will

exchange their papers and have their friends search for the hidden spelling

words. :) 


5) This Friday, April 28th, is spring picture day. Forms went home before

spring break. These are optional and will not be featured in the yearbook,

and there are no retakes for spring pictures. 


6) Our annual Field Day is coming up next month and Field Day shirts need

to be ordered online no later than Tuesday, May 2nd. While purchasing a

field day shirt is optional, your child will still be required to bring in a plain

white t-shirt, as they will be tie dying them in gym class in the middle of

7) Summer camp registration is still ongoing- the more the merrier to

join us! If you have already registered, a friendly reminder that

registration fees are due by the end of the week to secure your spot. 


8) Reminder: SAVE THE DATE- Our Kindergarten Graduation will be held

on Wednesday, June 7th at 9:00 am. Please note this is Kindergarten’s

LAST day, they come for Graduation ONLY & then they officially finished

for the school year! The big school’s (Grades 1-7) last day is Thursday, June

8th.

  • Wonderful World- Maps Skills, Globes, Continents

Week of April 17th

 



Good Afternoon & Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a Blessed Easter & a wonderful Spring Break.

It is so great to be back with our class, I missed them all very much!

The spring is always so very busy, please review the following information:


1) Our annual Field Day is coming up next month and Field Day shirts need

to be ordered online no later than Tuesday, May 2nd. While purchasing

a field day shirt is optional, your child will still be required to bring in a

plain white t-shirt, as they will be tie dying them in gym class in the

2) This Friday is our next TAG Day, the theme is

“Favorite Character Day”. Please send in the $1 donation

if your child dresses down on Friday. 


3) Our Field Trip to the Liberty Science Center is coming up next

Wednesday. We will ask all families to meet us there at 9:30 am.

A detailed letter will be sent home by the end of this week as well with more information. 


4) Snack shop will be open at lunch tomorrow. Pizza money is

due by Thursday, labeled please. 


5) Reading folders went home today with our weekly AND monthly

materials. Monthly materials are not due back until Monday, May 15th.

We will have our next spelling test this Friday on the

“sh” digraph words listed on the homework. 


6) This Sunday is the Princess & Superhero Party here at school

from 11:00-1:00 pm, it is open for students from Pre-K to 1st.

Information on how to sign up can be found online at the parent page.

Week of April 3rd

 


Good Afternoon,

Happy April! I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to Holy Week!

We have a short but very special week ahead. 


Please review the following info carefully:

1) Tomorrow is our Easter Picnic & Egg hunt celebration. A detailed letter

reminder is being sent home in homework folders (you can also see the

image attached below to this message as well).  I know many of you have

already RSVP-ed (thank you!) but if you wouldn’t mind I am requesting ALL

our families to please fill out this Google Form below ASAP so I can have a

better idea of how our day will go tomorrow. Truly appreciate all your

support & assistance  and am greatly looking forward to an amazing

celebration. 🙂

2) There will be no weekly homework or new spelling/sight word

units this week. We will be focusing on Holy Week & preparing for Easter.


3) This Wednesday we will be celebrating our class filling up our March

Kindness Challenge by having a “Buddy Board Game Day”! Our students may

each bring in ONE board game (optional) if they would like to play with our

8th grade buddies on Wednesday. Please ensure your child’s name is on their

game if they bring one in. 


4) Spring uniforms may now be worn from this week until the remainder of

the year. Layers are still crucial, as weather changes so often, so please

make sure your child’s uniform pieces (sweaters, sweatshirts, etc.) are LABELED! :) 


5) SAVE THE DATE- As per Mr. Dunnigan’s blog on Friday, our end of year

dates have been set and due to unused snow days we are getting out earlier

than originally scheduled. Therefore our Kindergarten Graduation will be

held on Wednesday, June 7th at 9:00 am (please note- time on calendar says

10:00 but we are planning on changing it to 9:00 am). Please note this is

Kindergarten’s LAST day, they come for Graduation ONLY & then they

officially finished for the school year! The big school’s (Grades 1-7) last day

is Thursday, June 8th.
