be open on Friday during lunch as well, you may send in $ in your child’s

and/or drink. Items are $.50-$1 each and money goes towards our 8th

Week of Sept. 5th- Welcome to Kindergarten!

Hello Everyone!

The class has been doing such a great job this week, we are very proud of

them all and it is evident that we are going to have such an amazing year

together!

Here is our weekly update with some information about the week ahead:

  1. Tomorrow is the deadline to order pizza for Friday’s lunch. If you would like to purchase pizza for your child, please send in the $ inexact change by tomorrow morning in their homework folder. Please make sure it is labeled with their name the # of slices ($2 for 1 slice,$4 for 2 slices). A reminder that money must be paid separately per child, we can no longer combine siblings when sending in pizza money. Also, there is no pizza ordering on Fridays, so all orders must be turned in tomorrow if you want them to receive pizza Friday for this week, thank you!

  1. Tomorrow we are going to be doing a lesson called “Marshmallow Toes” and the children will receive one medium size marshmallow to help reinforce in a fun way the concept of walking quietly in line. After we do the lesson I do give the children the option to eat the marshmallow or take it home, however if you do NOT want your child to eat it please let me know. :)

  1. This Friday we are having a special TAG day for DMD Awareness. The theme is to wear green. Please send in a monetary donation (any amount of your choice) on Friday morning in their homework folders  & your child may dress down.

  1. Majority of our TAG days throughout the year are for raising money for our 8th grade graduating class (Project Graduation), and the cost is $1 sent in with your child on the TAG day so they can dress down out of uniform and match the theme of the event. There is one per month. Our first Project Graduation TAG day will be Friday, Sept. 30th and the theme is wearing GOLD for Childhood Cancer.  You can choose to pay in advance for the entire year ($10) or pay monthly on the TAG day itself.

  1.  Next week we will be beginning our ABC Bootcamp program! A letter and calendar will be sent home on Friday with all important information. Starting Monday students will bring in one show & tell item that begins with the alphabet letter of the day! :)

  1. A reminder to please try to LABEL all clothing/water bottles with your child’s name and/or initials. Especially when we are layering with sweatshirts, when they are not labeled it gets very hard to tell whose is whose, especially when they're all wearing the same uniform.

Important Dates To Note

  • Friday 09/09- Back to School Bash Pizza & Ice Cream Party 6:00-8:00 pm

  • Thursday 09/15- Back to School Night

  • Friday 09/16- Picture Day (in uniform)

Themes of the Week

This week we will continue focusing on adjusting to Kindergarten and

learning our school routines, rules, and procedures as we build our

classroom family.

Thank you for your time, please let me know if you have any questions.

God Bless!

Love & Prayers,

Mrs. Tironi
