Week of June 1st

Good Afternoon & Happy June!
How can it be that we only have 13 school days left already?! I am so sad that  time is flying by.

Here is some important information for the week ahead:

  1. Tomorrow is Field Day! Students must wear their tie dye shirts, gym shorts, and a hat. We ask if you could please also send in a beach towel and extra water for your child as well. Lunch and snack is same as a regular day, so please still bring in lunch boxes and backpacks. Please apply sunscreen at home before dropping off at school. *A note about tie dye shirts- if your child did not bring their shirt home yet, it means Mrs. DiGuilio has them and they are going to be washed and ready for wearing tomorrow. Please have your child wear their regular gym shirt and they will change when we are in our building before field day begins.*

  2. Thursday is our Final Countdown Letter P- Pajama & Popcorn Day. Students may come to school in their favorite jammies, bring ONE stuffed animal friend, and be ready for a wonderful day and a yummy treat.

  3. Our new spelling words went home today, along with weekly homework due by Friday. We will take the spelling test on Friday.

  4. Next Monday, June 7th, will be our R is for Rainbow Day. Students will be assigned a color of the rainbow to wear that day, we will be taking a photo of a human rainbow we will make outside together in our colors. I will send a note and dojo by Friday with your child’s color.

  5. We have many summer birthdays in our class this year. I will be assigning one day for each of our summer birthday friends so we can celebrate them with their own day. I will be sending home a letter tomorrow with your child’s birthday celebration date.

  6. Kindergarten Graduation is on Thursday, June 17th at 10:00 am. Students will come ONLY for Graduation this day, they will be asked to be dropped off at 9:30 am. Our last official day of school is on Wednesday, June 16th. More information regarding Graduation will be coming out by the end of this week and sent home.
