Week of March 21st

Good Afternoon & Happy Spring!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I know our class is super excited for Spring & ready to enjoy all the fun we have coming up these next few months together.

Here is some important information for the week ahead:

  1. Our Weekly Homework Packets went home today with our new sight words AND spelling words. There is a new spelling choice board included for students to use daily when practicing their 5 spelling words (short i words this week). They can select their way to practice the words and then log it/show their work on the back of the page.

  2. This Wednesday is a half day, with noon dismissal due to Cognia Interviews for staff. There is after care available from 12:00-6:00 pm. Please send a note if there is a change to your child’s dismissal that day.

  3. Our Easter Picnic & Celebration is coming up on Monday, April 11th (Rain Date of Wednesday the 13th). Please RSVP by this Friday to let us know if you can join us and if any additional family members will be joining as well. We are asking all families to please donate Easter Egg fillers (non-food) that we can use for the hunt and please send them to school no later than Monday, April 4th. Thank you so much for your support.

  4. I am VERY excited to announce our Spring Field Trip flyer went home today. We are joining Pre-K 3 & 4 for a trip to the Sea Life Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center on Wednesday, May 18th. Please review all the information in the letter sent home today and complete the form provided and send it to school no later than Friday, April 8th. We would like to have our final numbers confirmed so tickets can be purchased before Spring Break.

  5. A friendly reminder, as we are approaching the warmer weather, please ensure your child has a water bottle each day. We do have the ability to fill up their water bottles and we always have back-up bottles in case children need them just in case.

  6. Pizza money is due on Friday.
