Week of April 24th

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We have

another exciting & busy week ahead as we close out this month of April

together. Please read all the very important info below carefully:

1) Tomorrow is going to be a special TAG day for Autism Awareness.

Mr. Dunnigan asks that all students wear light blue tomorrow.

Side note- There is also Lego Club tomorrow and Art Club on Friday.

2) This Wednesday is our field trip to Liberty Science Center!! Two

VERY important letters are going home with ALL information needed

about this trip. Please review them carefully and reach out at any time

if you have any questions. We are so excited for an amazing fun day

full of learning adventures together! :)

3) Miss Mount is offering a special yearbook opportunity for all

students to write their own boosters to shout out either their favorite

teachers, 8th grade buddies, or friends, etc. It is $5 per booster and she

will be visiting our classroom this Thursday 4/27 to help our children write

out their messages. If you would like your child to write a booster, please

send in the $ LABELED as YEARBOOK BOOSTERS  no later than Thursday

morning.

4) Reading homework & new spelling words are coming home today, we are

working on the “TH” digraph this week. You will see a “Create a Wordsearch”

using spelling words, please help your child MAKE the word search but

please do not have them show where the words are hidden. We will actually

be doing this together in class on Friday morning where students will

exchange their papers and have their friends search for the hidden spelling

words. :)

5) This Friday, April 28th, is spring picture day. Forms went home before

spring break. These are optional and will not be featured in the yearbook,

and there are no retakes for spring pictures.

6) Our annual Field Day is coming up next month and Field Day shirts need

to be ordered online no later than Tuesday, May 2nd. While purchasing a

field day shirt is optional, your child will still be required to bring in a plain

white t-shirt, as they will be tie dying them in gym class in the middle of

May. You can order your t-shirts here https://www.customink.com/fundraising/sts-field-day-2023

7) Summer camp registration is still ongoing- the more the merrier to

join us! If you have already registered, a friendly reminder that

registration fees are due by the end of the week to secure your spot.
