Week of January 27th

 

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your week.

It is SO nice being back with our class today- we are off to a great start- I missed these children so much! 

Firstly- we are looking for one more parent volunteer

who is available to come tomorrow for lunch duty in our

K classroom from 11:30-12:30 to assist Mrs. Bennett

in supervising our class while Mrs. Nowel & I are at

the teacher luncheon. Please let me know ASAP if you

are available and would like to assist us, we greatly

appreciate your support. Thank you! 🙂

Next, please see below for important information about our week ahead:

1) Please refer to the photo posted yesterday on Class Dojo for our Catholic Schools Week daily themes &

events coming up this week. 

2) Please note that due to the teacher luncheon

tomorrow- our K class will NOT be visiting the

school snack shop this week.

3) Reading folders are coming home today with our

new sight words and practice sheets-these are due

back on Friday. Please note that January monthly

homework is due back next Monday, February 3rd.

Students who return completed monthly work will

receive a prize coupon. 🙂

4) 100th Day Projects are due on Friday, February 7th. 

5) Save the Date-Thursday, February 13th at 1:00 pm

for our BIG Wedding of Q & U. Please keep an eye out

for a message later on this week with a signupgenius & RSVP link. 

6) Our class will celebrate Valentine’s Day during the

Wedding of Q & U along with a small class celebration

with Mrs. Nowel & I on Friday, 2/14. You will receive a

printed class list & info in your child's homework folders

regarding this in the coming days as well.

Week of November 18th

 

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I am SO happy I was able

to be here in school today to have one last day before my maternity

leave begins with our amazing class & what a great day it was. 

Please see the important info below about our weeks ahead:

1) Starting tomorrow Mrs. Emily Baricevic will be taking over as my role

of K teacher until January when I return. Mrs. B will work alongside

Mrs. Nowel to keep our amazing class learning & making special memories.

Mrs. B will be all set up on Dojo starting tomorrow morning, so please

make sure to contact her & Mrs. Nowel directly with any questions,

concerns, dismissal changes, etc. Our class is in the BEST hands with

them. Even though I am not physically going to be here,

I am always available so please reach out any time, you & your child

are family to me so please reach out whenever needed-

I’ll be missing them all so much!! 

2) Snack Shop is tomorrow- please send money in homework folders

if you want your child to purchase a snack at lunchtime.

3) Book Fair Wish Lists went home today in homework folders. Please

review your child’s selections and then if you would like them to purchase

any of the books, please make sure to mark the list and send payment in

NO LATER than Thursday morning (as that is when our class will be going

to buy books together). 

4) This Friday is our next TAG day- there is no specific theme so

students may dress down if they paid the $1 TAG.

5) A reminder that Kindergarten Parent Teacher Conferences will be

taking place at the END of January. More info will be sent to you as

we get closer as well.

Week of November 12th

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I hope you all had a nice long weekend. While it may be a shortened week,

our class is very busy! Please read the important information below:

1) This Thursday is our Thanksgiving Show & Celebration beginning at 1:00

pm. If you signed up to donate to help us, please drop off all donations by

tomorrow afternoon to our building, as I will be setting up.

Also- regarding our show- please read these directions very carefully:

- Families attending are asked to park in the learning center parking

lot and/or church lot ONLY. You CANNOT block the spaces in

front of the learning center as these will be used for big school car line. 

-Please do not arrive any earlier than 12:50 pm. Our show will take place

in the GYM on the stage first, so please come to the front doors of the

main building to sign in, doors will not open any earlier than 12:50 pm.

Our show will begin promptly at 1:00 pm on the stage. The performance

will go from 1:00-1:15 in the gym, then we will escort our class back to

our building. 

-Families are then asked to walk to our building to where we will

continue our Friendsgiving celebration in our classroom & computer room area.

-Festivities during our celebration have been planned for students

AND families to enjoy together and will go until around 2:15-2:20 the

latest, at which time families will be permitted to sign out their students

& dismiss directly from our building.

-If you have an older STS student that you will ALSO be signing out

that morning, you MUST send a note & email to your child’s teacher &

office to make them aware so the bus list can be completed correctly

that morning. 

-Looking forward to an AMAZING Thanksgiving Show & Celebration. 🙂

2) This Friday is group class picture day & individual retakes (if desired).

All students MUST be in uniforms. 

3) Reading folders with new weekly work is going home today and are

due back by Friday please. 

4) If you have not sent back the Christmas Brunch green permission slip,

please send it in ASAP as they were due last week.

Week of October 28th

Good Afternoon!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! I cannot believe the end of October is almost here already! We have another fun-filled and busy week ahead, please review the info below:

1) Reading folders are coming home today with our review sheets. Due to Halloween, homework is not due back until MONDAY, November 4th. On Monday 11/4, please send BOTH completed weekly and monthly work in your child’s reading folder.  

2) On Halloween on Thursday, students are asked to please arrive to school wearing their costumes. (NO WEAPONS OR MASKS ARE PERMITTED) We will have a class party with our room parents only but then we will be marching in the big school parade K-8th grade. Families are invited and encouraged to attend and you may sign out your child after the parade has concluded. Please note that there is NO aftercare on Halloween. 

If you plan on signing out your child after the parade, you must send us a note/dojo/email no later than Thursday morning so we can plan accordingly. You will meet us by our Kindergarten playground to sign out your children. 

3) Snack shop will be open tomorrow during lunch. Please send in $ labeled and in folders if you wish for your child to purchase a snack. 

4) We are looking for a parent volunteer who may be able to assist Mrs. Nowel with extra lunch help in the gym & recess duty on Tuesdays. The time would be from 11:35-12:35, but even if you can only come for lunch from 11:35-12:05 that would be greatly appreciated as well. Please note the VIRTUS training program must be completed prior to volunteering. Please let us know if you are able to assist on Tuesdays. 

5) This Friday we will be attending mass at 8:45 for First Friday & All Saints Day. 

6) Winter uniforms will go into effect next week starting on Friday, November 1st. Please LABEL all sweaters/sweatshirts, jackets, etc. 

7) Our Kindergarten Thanksgiving Show & Celebration will be coming up on Thursday, November 14th. If you have not already RSVP-ed, please do so by following the link below. RSVP’s are due by this Friday, 11/01 please so we can plan accordingly for number of guests. 

8) Our Disguise a Turkey projects are coming home today with a detailed letter explaining what your child is asked to do. Please take your time having them create a disguise to keep our turkey safe for Thanksgiving. There are LOTS of amazing ideas online if your child needs a little inspiration to get them started. Please return completed turkeys by next Wednesday, November 6th.
